Our Statement on Advancing Racial Equity and Inclusion

“In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.”

- Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

At Greenline, we passionately believe that all people are created equal.  Although this belief is foundational to our culture, we, as a society, have not practiced this ideal.  Race, gender identity, socio-economic status, religious beliefs, immigration status, and many other factors define perceptions and determine the privilege of an individual.  This asymmetry in our society has resulted in centuries of injustice and the dehumanization of people.  Accordingly, Greenline unequivocally believes that Black Lives Matter, and we are deeply committed to supporting those peacefully protesting against violence, injustice, and racism as well as those working to create social equity and to uplift one another towards our highest principles.

As a minority-owned firm focused on delivering capital to low-income communities and minority-owned businesses, Greenline utilizes its resources to support the underserved communities and people who are impacted by social injustice, asymmetrical treatment, and lack of privilege.  Within our company,   our industry, and more broadly in our society, we seek to promote a culture that recognizes the right of all people to be treated with humanity and respect.   We are dedicated to creating jobs in low-income and minority communities and seek to identify solutions that eradicate injustices.  Commitment to change and commitment to make a difference in the world is core to our purpose.  This commitment is also fundamental to the expectations of our clients.

Greenline recognizes that the lasting, systemic change required to impact the deep-seated historical disparities in our country will require individuals and organizations to commit to urgently focus on these issues over an extended period of time. Even during challenging and turbulent times, we must stay on our mission to drive this change.
